Colleen Baker, LCSW

Owner & Clinical Director

Colleen received her Masters in Social Work degree at the Columbia University School of Social Work and her undergraduate degree from Syracuse University where she studied psychology, communication and addiction. Colleen spent many years early on in her career with Monte Nido and Affiliates, holding roles ranging from Recovery Coach to Lead Therapist within the residential, partial hospital and intensive outpatient levels of care. Additionally, she pairs a strong passion for recovery advocacy with her therapeutic specializations through her work with eating disorder non-profit Project HEAL, which over the years has involved writing, speaking and organizing events and supervising the peer support volunteer program. She encourages clients to find respect and appreciation for their natural body size and patience with themselves, while striving to meet each client exactly where they are in their process. She utilizes an honest, direct, but curious approach, finding that humor and a strengths-based perspective can help aid clients in developing effective communication, self-respect and a will to improve their lives.
