Shayna Lebovic, LCSW

Shayna received her Masters in Social Work from Columbia University School of Social Work with a focus on family, youth and children’s services. She received her undergraduate degree from Towson University where she studied Family Studies and Psychology. Shayna specializes in working with adolescents and is also a Certified Family Life Educator (CFLE). Her journey began abroad volunteering in foster homes in Israel in addition to helping and educating children and families in Mumbai, India. Shayna is currently a full-time clinician at a public high school. She previously provided mental health services for youth in the juvenile justice system and youth involved in foster care. Shayna has extensive experience with crisis management and working with children and families who have experienced trauma due to abuse and/or neglect. Shayna possesses a passion for noticing the strengths in others and appreciating each individual’s resiliency.
Shayna utilizes a client-centered, trauma-informed lens throughout her practice. She has a warm and welcoming presence that allows people to feel secure and at ease. Shayna uses a multidisciplinary, holistic approach incorporating components of EMDR, CBT, TF-CBT, ACT, Motivational Interviewing, and Mindfulness practices. Shayna’s approach is strength based and focuses on aiding and empowering individuals and families to reach their full potential.
