commitment to care, rates, + insurance
attune’s commitment to care
At Attune, we believe in providing individualized and unrestricted care to our clients. We are primarily an out-of-network practice — this means we are not directly contracted with insurance companies, which allows our clinicians the freedom to tailor treatment to your needs without the constraints of mandated session limits, required diagnoses, or standardized care timelines. We believe therapy is about growing with a client, providing them the care they need, when they need it
We understand that cost is a real consideration when selecting your provider. To make care more accessible, select Attune clinicians are available through Headway, a third-party platform that allows those providers to accept certain insurance plans directly. Insurance availability varies by clinician, so we encourage you to reach out to us to see if your plan is accepted. Please note that we are unable to accept Medicare or Medicaid plans at this time.
For clients working with providers who are not in network with Headway, we provide monthly superbill statements so you can seek reimbursement through your out-of-network benefits. Session fees may also be paid using FSA (Flexible Spending Account) funds where applicable.
We are also happy to offer sliding scale rates whenever possible. Each of our clinicians comes with varying levels of experience and training, which means we can offer a variety of starting session rates. This creates an opportunity for us to not only match you with the clinician best suited to your therapeutic needs, but also one that fits your financial needs. To learn more, please contact us directly.
out-of network benefits
If you'd like to explore potential out-of-network benefits, the first step is contacting the Member Services phone number on the back of your health insurance card and ask the following questions:
-
Do I have "out-of-network outpatient mental health coverage"?
What is my out-of-network deductible?
What is my co-insurance rate for outpatient psychotherapy (% of reimbursement per session)?
How many outpatient therapy sessions are allowed per calendar year?
Am I eligible for coverage under the “2008 Timothy’s Law”? (This allows some members access to unlimited therapy sessions if they meet criteria for a biological based diagnosis)
Do you require prior authorization for out-of-network outpatient therapy sessions? If so, please provide them with the date of the first session and our billing information below: NPI #: 1043731144 TAX ID: 85-1206147
What is the process for submitting claims — Mail, Fax, or Online?
All Attune therapists are able to provide monthly invoices and superbills that include all necessary information for claims to be processed.
Note: For clients who do not have insurance or are not using insurance for services provided by our practice (i.e. reimbursement via "superbill" or direct via third party insurance service Headway), please note your right under applicable law to receive a "Good Faith Estimate" regarding the cost of your care. You will receive this within your initial documents via our client portal.
