Shayna is a white, cisgender, Jewish Woman, wife, and parent. Shayna loves spending time outdoors especially in the fall and winter months.
Shayna received her Master of Social Work from Columbia University with a focus on family, youth and children’s services. She holds a certification in Perinatal Mental Health.
Her journey began abroad, volunteering at foster homes in Israel and educating children and families in Mumbai, India. She provided mental health services for youth involved in foster care and the juvenile justice system, and currently works as a full-time clinician at a public high school. She has extensive experience providing crisis management and working with survivors of abuse and neglect. Shayna has an innate passion for noticing the strengths in others and honoring an individual’s resiliency. Her strengths-based, trauma-informed lens is coupled with a warm, welcoming presence that empowers individuals and families to reach their full potential.
