Shayna is a Jewish woman, wife, and parent. Shayna loves spending time outdoors especially in the fall and winter months.
Shayna received her Master of Social Work from Columbia University with a focus on family, youth and children’s services. She also specializes in trauma and perinatal mental health.
Shayna’s professional journey began internationally—volunteering in foster homes in Israel and educating children and families in Mumbai, India. Since then, she has provided mental health support for youth in the foster care and juvenile justice systems and currently serves as a full-time clinician in a public high school. She has extensive experience in crisis management and in working with survivors of abuse and neglect.
Shayna has an innate passion for noticing the unique strengths and resilience each person brings to the healing process. Her clinical focus centers on birth trauma, perinatal (pregnancy and postpartum) mental health, and supporting parents navigating their own trauma histories. Shayna is deeply committed to holding space for the emotional complexities that can surface during these pivotal life transitions. With a strengths-based, trauma-informed approach and a warm, grounding presence, she empowers individuals and families to foster healing, build resilience, and thrive.
